FAILING TO DELIVER POWER TO THE PEOPLE

Today more than 200,000 homes and businesses across Victoria are again without power due to fallen or affected electricity infrastructure. Energy providers say it could be days before all outages are fixed.

Moorabool Shire Council has launched a campaign pressuring energy company AusNet Services to put the 500kV transmission lines that form the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project underground.

Power Over People

Residents were shocked to find that the proposed path for the 65m tall steel electricity towers will traverse historically significant and picturesque farmland adjacent to the Wombat State Forest and the Lerdederg State Park.
